What are the playing ages for each age group
Date of birth requirements:
All players wanting to play up or down from U10 and older require an age dispensation. This ensures that both the parents/carers of the player, and the club, give their approval and most importantly, that the player is covered and safe for the season ahead.
U13 to Open Divisions
For the Under 13 to Open Divisions, which are competitive divisions, players wishing to play up will be required to submit an age waiver request to the club. Players will also be subject to a review and approval process by the parent body, the Brisbane North Junior Cricket Association. Players in these age groups wishing to play down are carefully considered, and the BNJCA will take into account playing stats and other information when deciding whether to approve. If a player playing down begins to record consistent positive statistics the coach may be asked to manage the player to ensure a level playing field.

Can my child rejoin last season’s team or play with their friends again this season?
This season players will be able to register in one of two ways:
1. Directly to a team being organised by a nominated person (returning 22/23 team, new team of friends, school team for eg)
2. Register as an individual player unattached to any particular team, with the option to nominate up to two alternate friends that the player would like to be in a team with if possible.
Register directly to a preferred team:
– Minimum of six players (club reserves the right to add additional players to fill team)
– Requires one nominated person to coordinate contact with players and get at least 6 player confirmations (this can be done by chatting with your previous coach/manager to see if the team will return as whole or, establishing a new group of players)
– Nominated person emails [email protected] with subject “Team registration link request” requesting a link be created for their team
– Club creates a unique registration link and provides to the nominated person
– Nominated person distributes link to the players and encourages them to sign up asap before 9th September
– Nominated person is responsible for having at least 6 players sign up (we can add additional players to fill team if required)
– Registration updates and further information sent to teams as season approaches
DEADLINE FOR TEAM REGISTRATIONS IS 9th SEPTEMBER
The QUICK REFERENCE RULE GUIDE dropdown link contains information on min/max team sizes.
We are unable to accept team nominations in any other format.
What if my child doesn’t have a preference? Can they register to the club as an individual?
Yes, no problem! If your player doesn’t have a particular team in mind please scroll up for the individual PlayHQ registration link. You can use the player preferences question within the sign-up form to nominate two separate players/friends in order of preference.
