Junior Blasters program information
We’re excited to announce that Friday night cricket will return to Gibson Park, Stafford on Friday 29th January 2021. Junior Blasters $140 per player (8 weeks 29 Jan-19 Mar) Master Blasters (prices include playing shirt) Boys $240 (8 weeks 29 Jan-19 Mar) Girls $160 (8 weeks 29 Jan-19 Mar) FAIRPLAY VOUCHERS – To check if your child is eligible for a $150 registration subsidy from QLD Government CLICK HERE Email the club: admin@wnjcc.com.au to redeem your voucher at registration We supply all necessary training and match equipment. This season we’ve introduced a returning and custom team online form to streamline the team and player preference process. Please read carefully: NOTE- You will need a minimum of six players to nominate the team Our club will be following the industry plan and checklist as set out by the Queensland Government for field sports. You can view the plan here Broadly, the plan requires us to ensure certain protocols are in place to ensure we maintain a contact register of those in attendance, maintain social distancing off the field and ensure that protective equipment is not shared. Our canteen menu is being revised in accordance with the Retail Food Services industry plan which we are also obligated to follow. SATURDAY JUNIOR CLUB CRICKET PLEASE NOTE BNJCA HAVE ADVISED U11 NOW STARTS AT 7.15am AND U10 STARTS AT 9.45am Saturday junior club cricket will start on 10th October. Registration prices will remain the same as last season: Saturday competition: Boys: $290 full season (terms 4 and 1 – 10 Oct to 20 Mar) Girls: $160 full season (terms 4 and 1 – 10 Oct to 20 Mar) FAIRPLAY VOUCHERS – To check if your child is eligible for a $150 registration subsidy from QLD Government CLICK HERE Email the club: admin@wnjcc.com.au to redeem your voucher at registration Players wishing to play above or below their age group must complete and submit THIS FORM for approval. Please read about our policy for players going up or down an age group here CLICK HERE Players wishing to play down in age group must contact the club to discuss. Our COVID Safe “return to play” field sports industry plan (link below) prevents the sharing of any equipment between players and teams. A player looking to start playing cricket with the essential equipment will need: Many sporting goods stores have reasonably priced junior cricket starter packs available which include the above equipment. Last season Cricket Australia introduced a shorter, one day format called “U12 Stage 2”. Please refer to the document below to see how the new format differs to the tradition three hour / two day U12 “Pathway” format This season we’ve introduced a returning and custom team online form to streamline the team and player preference process. Please read carefully: NOTE- You will need a minimum of six players to nominate the team – CLICK THE IMAGE FOR A GUIDE TO TEAM SIZES FROM LAST SEASON: We will send a form out to the team manager or contact person to update players if you aren’t full at time of nomination. The club can provide additional players to fill those teams where needed. We are unable to accept team nominations in any other format. What if my child doesn’t have a preference? No problem! If your player doesn’t have a particular team in mind please use the player preferences question within the playcricket registration sign-up form (not yet active) to nominate three separate players/friends in order of preference. Please do not complete the player preference section of the playcricket registration form if you are already part of a returning team or custom team being submitted as referred above. We are committed to following the “return to play” QLD Government guidelines: Return to Play Industry Plan link Significant changes to Blue Card policy, card application and card renewal processes will be rolled out by QLD Government 31 August. We strongly recommend anybody looking to be involved in a coaching or managing related role with a team read up on the new requirements and processes here: Blue Card – No Card No Start If you don’t know your player’s Mycricket id please check your junk mail folder for our latest email correspondence containing your players id. Password resets can be requested from admin@wnjcc.com.au – please be sure to include the players first and last name and the Mycricket id number if known. More technical issues will need to be handled by the mycricket helpdesk 1800 274 2538 We’ll notify our members when information and training sessions for Mycricket Live scoring become available. Master Blasters training starts at 5:00pm with games from 5:30-7pm. Junior Blasters play from 6-7pm.
