September Skill Development Clinic 2020
The Wilston Norths Academy September Clinic caters for players from ages 8 to 16 of all abilities.
The Clinic has a skill development focus on technical areas of batting, bowling, fielding and wicket-keeping, and testing these acquired skills in a competitive game-sense environment. The session are designed to have participants involved as often as possible with time on task a key feature.
Our activities cater for beginner to advanced skill levels and age levels from 8 to 16. Our coaching are staff Cricket Australia accredited with high level playing and coaching experience, including some Northern Suburbs Senior cricketers.
Boys/mixed skill development
Date: 21st – 22nd September 2020
Time: 8am-12pm
Cost $120 per person*
Girls skill development
Date: 23rd – 24th September 2020
Cost: $120 per person*
Both clinics will be held at Victoria Park / Terrace Nets (14 Gilchrist Avenue, Spring Hill QLD)
We follow a QLD Government approved COVID-Safe “Return to play” field sports industry plan.

*please note a $5 mandatory insurance levy is payable to Cricket Australia at registration. If your child is already registered for summer or winter cricket through the playcricket/mycricket platform, this levy will not be applicable. If you sign up for summer or winter cricket through the playcricket/mycricket platform you will not need pay this levy again.
DEVELOPMENT SQUAD
The Development squad is suited to cricketers who have just started their cricket journey and want to maintain the skills they have while developing some new ones.
Example:
This squad is ideal for a player who has just finished their first season of junior cricket and really enjoyed the experience. This squad will help players start next season with a better understanding of all aspects of the game.
Session Times: Tuesday 4pm – 5pm (weekly)
Ages: 8-13 years
- Squad Numbers Capped at 30 Players
- A Cricket Australia Level 2 Coach allocated for every 8 players
Cost: $200
EMERGING PLAYERS SQUAD
The Emerging Players squad is for cricketers who have played the game for a few seasons and want to learn more about the technical requirements to improve, develop better training habits and learn new drills.
Example:
This squad is ideal for someone who has played cricket for a few seasons and wants to bat higher up the order or learn how to bowl a wrong’un or slower ball. This program will teach players the more technical aspects of the game. Technical development will be a focus and players will learn a few drills to develop this part of their game when practicing with friends or family.
Session Times: Monday 4pm – 5pm (weekly)
Ages: 11-14 years

- A Cricket Australia Level 2 Coach allocated for every 8 players

HIGH PERFORMANCE SQUAD
HIGH PERFORMANCE SQUAD
The High-Performance squads are for experienced cricketers who have identified a particular area of their game they’d like to develop during the pre-season. This squad is tailored for representative and A/B cricketers – those cricketers looking to take their game to the next level.
Example:
This squad is ideal for someone who might be a batsman struggling to play particular shots like the pull shot or sweep shot. Or you may be a bowler looking to fine-tune certain technical aspects of your run up, delivery or follow through as well as line, length, swing and loft.
The Off-Season program provides batters, spin bowlers, fast bowlers and wicket keepers a great opportunity to work on their skills in a focused and controlled environment, being mentored by current grade cricketers and Cricket Australia accredited coaches.
Ages: 13+ years
Squad numbers capped at 8 players per skill
A Cricket Australia Level 2 Coach allocated for every 4 players in the squad

Wicket keeping
Mondays fortnightly

*Wicket keeping sessions can be held in addition to batting/bowling sessions
MULTI SKILLS
Players will participate in four batting sessions and four bowling or wicket keeping sessions.
Cost: $400 ideal for players looking to work on both batting and bowling/wicket keeping skills
PRIVATE SESSIONS
Available to all players inside or outside of the program as a form of upskilling with one to one coaching and mentoring from the Academy coaching Staff.
Batting, bowling & wicket keeping available
Ages: Suitable for boys and girls of all ages
Cost: $550 (8 x 60 min private coaching sessions)
