What are the age groups?

Cricket Blast is for players born: 01 Sep 2017 to 31 Aug 2020

When and where?

Season 2025/26 runs over two terms

Fridays 10/10/2025 to 05/12/2025 (term 4)

(break for school holidays)

Fridays 30/01/2026 to 20/03/2026 (term 1)

  • New to Cricket: 6pm – 7pm
  • Developing skills: 5:30pm – 7pm
  • Nearly Ready: 5pm – 7pm

OUR CRICKET BLASTERS PLAY ON THE FIRST CLASS FIELDS AT THE NORTHS VIKINGS/CRICKET AUSTRALIA NATIONAL CRICKET CAMPUS @SHAW PARK, WAVELL HEIGHTS!

Our Blasters will be playing on the same fields that Premier cricket, Sheffield Shield and Australian Men’s and Women’s matches are played on. Behold the spectacular visual of Cricket Blast action under 1000 lumen floodlights and state of the art facilities.

The Norths Pavilion bar and dining room provide the perfect viewpoint to watch the action and manage y0ur thirst and appetite.

QLD Government PlayOn vouchers initiative

HOW DO PARTICIPANTS APPLY FOR A PLAYON VOUCHER
  • Visit the Queensland Government Recreation, sports and arts website here https://www.qld.gov.au/recreation/sports/funding/playon/apply
  • Parents, carers and guardians will need to register for an Enquire account before applying for a voucher.
  • Vouchers can only be used once and applied for the full amount ($200).
  • Please note this process is wholly managed by the Queensland Government.
HOW DO PARTICIPANTS USE A PLAYON VOUCHER FOR CRICKET
  • Complete the participants’ PlayHQ registration for any Club or Association-run, Cricket Blast Program or Junior Cricket registration and apply voucher at checkout.
  • Account holder needs to enter a valid PlayOn voucher number and will receive a $200 discount. This is applied to the following fees in order:
      - Club Fee
      - Association / Comp Admin Fee (Junior Cricket registrations only)
      - State Body Fee (not applicable for Queensland)
      - Cricket Australia Fee – either Cricket Blast or National Registration Fee
  • Account holder to pay any remaining amount owing or submits registration, and provide the PlayOn voucher details to the Club / Association.
  • PlayOn vouchers can not be held in credit and the full $200 will be applies regardless of total cost.

What do I need to play?

We supply all necessary training and match equipment and match day playing shirt for each participant.

Can my child rejoin last season’s team or play with their friends again this season?

  • You can list the name of any friends during registration. Please use full first and last names (no nicknames please)
  • If you’re returning with a team from last season as coach, manager or interim contact person; or
  • You’re a new coach, manager or interim contact person putting together a new team; then
  • Please email hello@wnjcc.com.au with your player list and be sure to use full names and correct spelling of each participant

NOTE- You will need a minimum of five and maximum of seven players to nominate a team for our “nearly ready for junior cricket” program (formerly Master Blasters)
