Girls Cricket is back!

This season Wilston North has three stages of girls cricket competitions, with a format to suit all skill and interest levels.

Training is run weekly, led by our qualified and friendly female coaching staff.

Training starts Thursday 30 Jan | 4-5:30pm in the Glyn Netto Junior Nets at Shaw Park, Wooloowin.

Competitions will be played in three stages
Stage 1: This is for our new to cricket girls, our girls who are still mastering their skills
Stage 2: This for the more experienced girls, girls with more than basic cricket skills
This competition is for all girls aged 10-16, its for girls who want to play in a female-only competition and want to have fun while learning and playing cricket.

Stage One and Stage Two competition details
•     Players allocated to the stage appropriate for their skill level
•     T20 format
•     Stage 1:  16m pitch, 7 a side, 130g soft pink ball
•     Stage 2:  18m pitch, 9 a side, 142g 2-piece pink ball
•     2 x 8-week blocks (Term 4 ’24 and Term 1 ’25)
•     All matches played at Kalinga Park
•     Game times: 9am or 11.30am

Stage Three competition details
Brisbane Under 15 Girls Saturday Competition (formally Harris Shield)

This competition is for girls who love cricket and are looking for a challenge. Open to players aged 12-15 capable of playing full-length pitch/50m boundary.

  • 9-a-side Multi-Format Competition
  • Open to all junior cricket clubs across Brisbane, Ipswich, and Logan
  • Saturday games featuring a multi-format schedule alternating every two weeks: Week 1: 20-over format (PM game) | Week 2: 35-over format (AM game)
  • Games played on turf or synthetic wickets
  • 6 rounds in term 1 2025
